The birthday of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, is celebrated every year by the Sikh Community in India and abroad. This year's Birthday will be celebrated on 27th November 2023.
Special prayers are organized. Gurus deliver holy speeches on this day. Kirtans are also organized. Gurudwaras are decorated with lights.
A holy book of Sikhism is taken to a procession out of the temple. The procession will be followed by large number of Musicians and a large crowd of people.
If anyway you miss the procession, don't worry, go inside the Golden temple in the night, you will be spellbound by seeing the beautiful and gorgeous glowing temple on the water. It is an amazing view to watch on.
