Naga Panchami is celebrated in Some parts of India, Nepal, and other countries where Hindus are staying in large numbers.
During monsoon the burrows of snakes are full of rainwater, so the snakes are come out of their burrows. There is a chance that they may bite the people, that is why snakes or Nagas are worshiped during this time.
During Puja, milk is offered to the God Naga, and worshiped with sweet and floral. Live snakes are also worshiped. Milk is offered near the pits of snakes so that they can drink it.
It is believed that if you offer puja to the Naga devata they do not bite you and your near and dears. This year Nag Panchami will be celebrated on 2nd August 2022 Tuesday. Naga mantras are uttered in a particular tune.
