Losar festival is celebrated to mark the Buddhist new year. The festival is observed for 15 days but the first 3 days are important. The local communities gather together to witness grand religious performances.
People celebrate the festival by singing, dancing with traditional Sherpa songs, eating, drinking. Several traditional ceremonial dances are performed which showcases the struggle between Demons and Gods, The event is performed mainly at Monasteries.
