Chardham Yatra is a Hindu Pilgrimage site darshan, it consists of 4 Hindu Pilgrimage sites namely Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, all sites are situated in the Uttarakhand state of India. Four Dhams are associated with 4 Rivers, namely River Ganga (Gangotri), River Yamuna (Yamunotri), River Mandakini (Kedarnath) and River Alaknanda (Badrinath). Every year thousands of devotees visit these sites. From this year photometric registration is made mandatory after the incident of 2013. It may be available offline or online. Chardham Yatra registration is also known as Yatra Pass, Yatra Permits, or Registration Cards. With this, all the visitors will be tracked. Pilgrims also can avail facilities such as food and lodging with the help of a Registration Card. Important instructions for Devotees:- i. For booking a room, a Photo Id is required. ii) Amounts of all online services are accepted by Indian rupees only. iii) No amount will be refunded after the cancellation of any service. iv) After every session, log out to be done. Why You should visit Chardham : - The famous holy places of Hindu Pilgrimages, that are situated among the snowy peaks of Himalayas. Hindus believe that Four locations are highly sacred. This are the ultimate desire of every religious Hindus to visit these 4 holy places at least one time in his/her life time for attaining Moksha ( Salvation).
Day 1. - Delhi to Haridwar - Early morning depart for Haridwar by road (205 Kms.) and takes 7 Hrs. You can go by train also. Go to the hotel, after reaching Haridwar then take lunch and visit Har Ki Pauri, and enjoy Ganga Aarti in the Evening. Roam in the nearby market and after taking dinner go to bed for rest.
Day 2. - Haridwar to Rishikesh then to Barkot - After breakfast in the morning start for Rishikesh (24 km.) and visit Ram Jhoola, Lakshman Jhoola, Swarg Ashram, Geeta Ashram, and take a holy dip. After lunch, you can proceed for Barkot by Road(216 km.) and it takes 7 Hrs., Night halts here.
Day 3. - Barkot to Yamunotri and return to Barkot - At about 05:00 Hrs. Start for Hanumanchatti (32 km. ), it takes 90 minutes, from here you can take a local Jeep to cut short your trekking distance by 5 km. Visit Yamunotri Temple by feet or by Poni/Doli ( To and fro journey charges are: by Horse Rs. 800/- to Rs. 1500/-; Doli - Rs. 3500 - Rs. 4500/-) After Darshan and offer prayer return back to Barkot for night stay.
Day 4. Barkot to Uttarkashi - You can take rest and pass leisure time by visiting local villages, and after taking Lunch start for Uttarkashi (100 km. ) and takes 4 Hrs. Reach in the evening and check-in to a hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5. - Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back to Uttarkashi - Proceed to Gangotri (100kms ), it takes 5 Hrs. to reach. After arrival at Gangotri take a holy dip in the River Ganges and, perform Puja and Darshan return to Uttarkashi for a night stay.
Day 6. - Uttarkashi to Srinagar - Proceed to Srinagar (160 km.), takes 9 Hrs. and after reaching straightway go to Hotel. Take rest, after roaming in the evening take dinner and go to bed for sleep.
Day 7. - Srinagar to Gupta Kashi to Rampur - Srinagar to Rudraprayag is 34 km, its the confluence point of Mandakini and Alakananda Rivers - visit this holy confluence and then drive to Rampur (65 km.), go to the hotel. In the evening, Roam local area and market and after dinner go to bed.
Day 8. - Rampur to Kedarnath to Rampur - From Rampur proceed to Sonprayag which is about 4 km by Bus, then to Gaurikund(5 km) by Govt. Jeep, and from this place Kedarnath is 17 km, Can go by Trekking/Pony/Doli.
After Darshan and Puja, returns to Rampur again for an overnight stay. Devotees can go by helicopter also, for getting this service you have to go to Sersi/Phata/Guptakashi helipad to Kedarnath helipad. From Kedarnath helipad, 1 Km walking will reach you, Kedarnath Temple. After Puja returns to Rampur by helicopter and by road. and overnight stay at Rampur.
Day 9. - Rampur to Badrinath - Early morning start for Badrinath which is about 238 km. away and takes about 12 Hrs. journey. Reach in the evening and take a rest in the hotel overnight.
Day 10. - Badrinath Darshan and then to Pipalkoti - In the morning visit Shri Badrinath Ji Temple, offer prayer and Puja, The visit the last village of India in the Indo-Tibetan Border, Mana village. Drive to Pipalkoti after lunch, and reach in the evening and go to the hotel and take rest overnight.
Day 11. - Pipalkoti to Haridwar - From Pipalkoti start for Haridwar, which is 241 kms. away and takes nearly 11 Hrs. to reach Reach Haridwar in the evening, do shopping in the market near Har Ki Pauri, Pass leisure time seeing Ganga Aarti. Night stay at the Hotel.
Day 12. - Haridwar to Delhi - Drive to Delhi which is 205 km. and takes 7 Hrs. to reach. Reach Delhi and your Chardham Yatra concludes.
