In the Shambhaji Nagar district of Maharashtra World heritage Ellora caves are situated. At the Ellora caves Jains were last to arrive so their caves are newer than other caves at the World Heritage site at Ellora.
Their caves was built in between 6th and 8th century, but there are only five caves dedicated to them. However, it does not matter how many caves they have, because they make it up in such a detailing that it is so wonderful that large number of tourists are visiting this sites.
Sheer beauty of carvings on the stone are an example of ancient rock cut caves.
They were built so close to one another but maintains the harmony of different religion which was existed in the ancient India.
The Ellora monuments were built by Rashtrakuta dynasty, they constructed Hindu and Buddhist caves.
And the Yadava dynasty built a number of Jain Caves.
