The capital city of Andhra Pradesh state, Amaravathi is a peaceful destination. It holds high historical significance and receives a decent footfall. The area has been ruled by the Satavahanas, Mauryas, Ikshvakus, Vishnukundina, Pallavas, Cholas, Kakatiyas, Bahamani Sultanate, Vijayanagara Empire, Delhi Sultanate, Golconda and Mughal Empire successively before the founding of Nizam of Hyderabad in 1724.
