Marvelous 14th-century fort, located in Amaravati of the Krishna district, Kondapalli Fort is also locally known as Kondapalli Kota. The fort is constructed by Musunuri Nayaks. Kondapalli Fort is located close to Vijayawada, the second largest city of Andhra Pradesh, India. It has great historical importance and attracts tourists from all over the world. The fort has roots in parallel histories. The military fortification was done during the British regime. During the 14th century AD, it developed as a business, recreation, and trade center of the entire region. Due to its nearness with Vijaywada, the people of the local area come with family and friends for a day-long picnic and pass leisure time here. When you go inside the fort certainly you will notice the breathtaking view of the valley. The nearby villages are famous for doll making, especially Kondapalli dolls.
