Amarnath Temple

Amarnath, home of the destroyer and the healer, the greatest in Hindu religion Lord Shiva. To get closer to their revered God, who appears on this earth in the unique form of an Ice Lingam, millions of devotees trek through the daunting mountains to Shri Amarnathji temple in  Kashmir. Amarnath Shrine is Considered to be the holiest temple in the Hindu religion. There is a huge cave which is surrounded by the snowy mountains which gives a scenic view to the devotees who are visiting the temple. When the water drips from the roof, it accumulates on the floor and starts to freeze and as a result, forms a Shiva Lingam, the average height of Shivlalinga stays around 20 feet, which make it stand in the list of tallest Shivalinga in India. Interestingly, with the different phases of the moon, the size of the Shiva Lingam at Amarnath Cave also keeps on increasing and decreasing.
