Durgiana temple history dates back to the year 1921 when its construction was initiated by Guru Harsai Mal Kapoor. This newly built temple derived inspiration from the mesmerizing architectural style of the famous Sikh shrine, the Golden Temple. This temple derives its name from the Goddess Durga, the chief Goddess deified and worshipped here. Just like the Golden Temple, Durgiana Temple is built in the middle of a lake. A bridge, similar to that of Golden Temple, is built across the lake, which provides access to the main temple area. Major Hindu festivals celebrated in the temple are Dussehra, Janmashtami, Rama Navami, and Diwali. During these festivals, the Durgiana Temple is decorated with lights and flowers. Come and witness this beautiful temple.
