Lalji Temple

Lalji Temple at Bishnupur is also known as Radha Laliju Temple, another terracotta temple in Bishnupur that was built by Malla Raja Bir Singh II, with shikhara and a square-shaped raised platform.

This temple is dedicated to Radha Krishna. It is an ancient temple situated 2 km away from Bishnupur Bus Station. There is a dance hall right in front of the temple, and to the west is a minaret dedicated to Raghunath, built in the Orissa style.

The outer yard is divided from the inner by a wall and contains a small Pancharatna temple of Kameswar Shiva. The temple is a classic example of the Eka-Ratna temple architectural style.

It has four Chala roofs and a shikhara on top of it. In the gateway front, you will find two cars, one for lord Raghunath and the other one for Lord Lalji. During the festival of Dussehra, they were taken out for the procession.

There are many inscriptions found all around the Lalji Temple.
