Located in the Bishnupur town, build in 1665, Madan Gopal Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is one and a half kilometers away from the Bishnupur bus stand.

Madan Gopal Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located in the Bishnupur town of Bankura district of West Bengal. This temple is in Madhabganj, about one and a half kilometers away from the Bishnupur bus stand.

The temple was built in 1665 AD by Shiromani Devi, the queen of Veer Singh II. The temple follows the Pancharatna style. It is a historical place, where a market is situated adjacent to the temple.

This place is called Madhav Ganga and is famous for the Rath Yatra festival. It is the old monument of the golden era of Bengal. It is popular amongst the locals and is a very peaceful place to spend some time.
