The Great Buddha Statue was make known to the public on November 18, 1989. The 14th Dalai Lama blessed the 25 meter tall Statue. Pilgrims from all over the world come to Bodh Gaya And visit to this place. The Statue took about seven years and 1,20,000 masons to complete the construction. It is one the largest Statues in India, standing as a symbol of peace and sprituallity of Buddhism.
