Rock Cut Caves are one of the best specimens of good architectural skills. These caves are situated at Jogighopa on the bank of the Brahmaputra river in the Bongaigaon district of Assam.
Each of the caves has a platform made up of brick and mud masonry. It is also believed that these caves were established during the Salasthamba period.
These caves are under the protection of the archeological survey of India. These caves are beautiful sculptural designs. This cave has a length of 1.90 meters and also has a round Verandah.
There are stairs in some Caves, but some of the caves do not have stairs. There is a ledge on the top that diverts the rainwater from the facade.
These caves are an ideal place to visit for those people who are passionate about history and architecture.
