The Brahmagiri trek is a delight with its myriad offerings, taking individuals inside the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary. The route crosses lush forests, green meadows, and countless small rivers and streams.

It is situated on the border between Wayanad district of Kerala state to the south and Kodagu district of Karnataka to the north. The top of the hill is well forested and rich in wildlife.
The trek begins from Iruppu falls on the Kerala side, and cuts through shola forests and grassland. After 2 hours of trekking, you will reach the bases of the peak. The climb to the summit requires another 45 minutes.
There is a guest house called Narimale on the way. It has toilet and bathroom facility that can accommodate around 25-30 people at a time.
Apart from admiring the gorgeous landscape, you can also visit the ancient temple of Lord Vishnu called Thirunelli temple. Trekking becomes much more fascinating when you will spot the beautiful vegetation and blooming flowers along with some rare species of fauna.
From trekking and trailing to visiting religious sites, camping, bird gazing, and photographing, the place is of everything and will be loved by all visitors.
Before starting your trek, you get a legal official permit from the state forest department. The best time for trekking is during May and October.
