Talacauvery is a holy pilgrimage site for Hindus. It is situated on the Brahmagiri hills and is considered the origin of the river Kaveri. It is located at an altitude of 1276 meters above sea level.
At present, a tank is located here from where the Kaveri river originates. A waterfall also emerges from the origin of this river. It is considered a holy tank among the followers of Hinduism.
People come here to take a holy bath on some auspicious days. A small temple is situated nearby, dedicated to Lord Agatheshwara, and devotees come here in large numbers.
People consider bathing in Talacauvery holy and they feel that by taking a bath here, one gets freedom from all the troubles.
The biggest attraction here is the Bhagamandal, from where three rivers - Kaveri, Kanake, and Sujyoti flow. Bhagamandal is located at a distance of 8 km from Talacauvery. There is a temple of Lord Ganesha nearby where Lord Ganapati, Subramaniam, and Vishnu are worshipped.
Festival is organized every year in October and November at this place. Every year thousands of tourists come to visit here.
Apart from being a serene place, Talacauvery is a spot full of natural beauty that tourists visit and spend time in peace. Winding hills and plains also located here, which are full of greenery.
