Lighthouse

Daman has two lighthouses. Both are on the premises of Moti Daman Fort near Damanganga Bay. One of these is called Puran Lighthouse, and the other is New Lighthouse. The old lighthouse built by the Portuguese is an important tourist destination of the region. The new lighthouse was built near the old lighthouse by the Government of India. It has a revolving tower, and a 204-meter diameter lantern house is also built on its peak. Due to security reasons, the new lighthouse requires proper permission for citizens. You can reach the top of it via a curved staircase. A bird's eye view of the sea is seen from above of the lighthouse.
