Observatory Hill is a hill near Chowrasta, visited by many tourists to enjoy the scenic view of the beautiful valleys of Darjeeling and snow-capped mountains along with Mahakal Temple and Tibetian Memorial Shrine, which is situated at the top of the hill. It is nearly 2 Km away from Darjeeling Mountaineering Railways, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and roughly takes up to 20 minutes' walk from Chowrasta to reach the top of the hill, through narrow paths and a small cave which is revered by temples. It is highly recommended for adventure and peace seekers. The complete walk is packed with colorful flag and small yet remarkable shrines with the full sound of devotional belts. It is advised for aged people to take a break on side benches while traveling to the tourist attraction as it can be notably exhausting.
