Dinjoy Satra

Dinjoy Satra is a famous tourist attraction in Dibrugarh. It is situated around 5 km towards the north of Chabua township at Bisnubalikakunshi village near North Lakhimpur.

Dinjoy Satra was founded by Aniruddha dev, who was one of the twelve principal disables of Gopal Atadev.

It is also a socio-cultural institution of the Vaishnauite sect. It is a famous religious site of Dibrugarh, and devotees following Vaishnavism regularly visit this Satra.

Dinjoy Satra fell into trouble during the Moamoria rebellion for many years. The devout seat at the Satra remained empty after the death of its head. After this, the Burmese invasion also caused havoc with the peace of Satra.

In due course of time and after all these distractions, the Satra was brought to Dinjan at Chabue and named Dinjoy Satra.

It is famous for its prayer and strict adherence to the norms and culture of Vaishnavism. A visit to this place will invoke the spiritual side of any person, and they will feel delighted.

The environment of the Satra is very calm and peaceful. You can visit Dinjoy Satra at any time of the year. There is no entry fee charged from the visitor, but one can donate as per wish.
