Do Drul Chorten is one of the most important stupas of Gangtok. It was built in the year 1945 by Trilshik Rinpoche, head of the Niyangama society of Buddhism.

Built-in 1945, one of the most important stupas of Gangtok in Sikkim is Do Drul Chorten. Inside this place are various religious objects, Dorji Furba, and a complete set of Kangyur relics (Holy books). Around the stupa, there are Chorten Lhakhang and Guru Lhakhang where two statues of Guru Rinpoche exist. This stupa has about 108 Mani Lhakor or Prayer wheels. The wheels engraved with important mantras that can chant by rotating them. The peace of this charming stupas has gained immense popularity among tourists and devotees over the years. This place is bizarre for those who seek solace in hilly areas. There are arrangements for about 700 monks living in this building.
