Alpathar Lake

Alpathar Lake is located 13 km away from Gulmarg at an altitude of 4511 m, and it flows at the foot of the hill. Snow remains frozen in this lake till June. The melting snow flaccid with its clear water in summer makes this an unique scene beauty.

Many tourists come here to see this triangular lake situated amidst snowy hills and acres of lush green terrain. It takes about a day to reach Alpathar Lake by trekking.

Travelers come to see Alpathar lake by riding on ponies or horse riding in the early morning. Just a few bucks and a short, comfortable ride is all it takes to reach Lake Alpathar.

Adventurers can also climb this slide-shaped hill if they want.
