Teli Ka Mandir

Around 100 feet tall temple of Telika is located in the Gwalior Fort. This temple was built in the 9th century and is the largest building in Gwalior. This magnificent grand temple is famous all over India for its unique architecture. Its roof architecture is of the Dravidian style while the carvings and sculptures are of the North Indian style. Its architecture is a blend of Hindu and Buddhist architecture and one of the oldest monuments in the fort of Gwalior. Built-in between the 8th or 11th century. The temple of Teli was earlier the temple of Vishnu, which later became the temple of Lord Shiva. Inside the temple, there are idols of goddesses, snakes, loving couples, and Garuda.
