The Ganga Aarti in Haridwar held at Har Ki Pauri, a religious prayer that takes place at the bank of river Ganga. This famous ghat means "foot of God".

During Aarti, large fire bowls hold by the priests and the holly bells start ringing and mantras are chanted. Pilgrims also float Diyas with flowers in the holy river. The heavenly beauty of the place can not be forgotten.
In terms of spiritual significance, Har Ki Pauri is considered equivalent to the Dashashwamedha Ghat, where the Aarti in Varanasi takes place.
It is a ritual of light and sound. The priest performs prayer with fire bowls and the ringing of temple bells. You can enjoy the Aarti by sitting on the stairs of ghat, besides you can also take part in the Aarti and perform Ganga Maa Aarti. During this time you may offer some donations to the priests.
