Mansa Devi Temple is a famous religious site located at a distance of about 3 km from Haridwar. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Mansa, who is worshiped as the Manas daughter of Lord Shiva and also worshiped as the sister of Nagaraja Vasuki.
Mansa Devi Temple is situated on the Bilva Mountains in the Shivalik Hills, and the temple has two idols of the Goddess Mansa, one idol has five hands and three faces and the second idol has eight hands. Being one of the 52 Shaktipeeths, this temple is situated on the summit of the Siddha Peetha Triangle. The triangle is made up of Maya Devi, Chandi Devi, and Mansa Devi temples.
During a visit to this temple, devotees tie a thread around a sacred tree and pray to God to fulfill his wish. After the wish fulfilled, it is necessary to open this thread from the tree.
Tourists can reach this temple by cable car. The cable car is called here as "Goddess Udankhatola".
