Charminar, considered to be a special identity of Hyderabad, was built in 1591 by Mohammad Quli Qutb Shahi. Today this ancient historic building has gained worldwide buzz.
As the name itself suggests, Char Minar means four towers. This magnificent building is a fine example of the excellent architecture of ancient times. This tower has four shining minarets, which are connected by four beautiful arches. The arch also supports the four towers. It has 149 winding steps to reach the upper floor of the monument.
Charminar was built the new capital in place of Golconda when Quli Qutub Shahi made Hyderabad.
