Taramati Baradari was an inn built by Abdullah Qutb Shah, the seventh Sultan of Golconda. This inn was located on the premises of Ibrahim Bagh, built by Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah. Baradari, built on the banks of the Musi River so that tourists visiting this part of the city can rest here. Legend is that Baradari was built in honor of Taramati and his sister Premamati. Both sisters used to dance and sing in the court of Abdullah Qutb Shah. The Sultan was so impressed with their performance that he built the inn in the name of the elder sister. These two sisters were so famous in the royal court that they too were buried in the mausoleum of Qutb Shahi Sultan, and his begum.
