As the name says it is obviously a Palace built in the center of the water. This is a place that lets you falling love with Jaipur in a second. It is beautifully built in the center of a lake, which makes it stunning.
It is having a glorious History, this palace named Jal mahal, the surrounding artificial lake 'Man Sagar' named after the then ruler of Amer 'Raja Man Singh'.
The palace was constructed in 1699, later in the 18th century, it was renovated by Maharaja of Amber Jai Singh II.
As the palace is submerged in the water, so a boat ride is the only way to reach Jal Mahal. Now going inside Jal Mahal is stopped by Govt., but a pathway around the lake gives a stunning view of the picturesque palace.
A large number of local and migratory birds are there in the lake. so bird watchers consider it as paradise.
It is one of the picturesque palaces in Jaipur and a must-visit attraction.
