Bahu Mela

Bahu Mela is one of the biggest Hindu festivals held in Jammu, which is a grand celebration held at Bahu Fort in Jammu. The fair is celebrated with fun and cheer. The whole place is decorated with lights.

Bahu Mela held during Navratri, twice in a year, once during March-April, another during September-October. During this fair, you can see the grand traditions of the people of Jammu, their folk dance, dress, and even their delicious food.

Locals and tourists wear their most colorful costumes at this fair, and many residents exchange gifts with each other as a token of love and affection. Flowers and garlands offered abundantly to honor the great goddess Kali.

Local vendors set up stalls where one can find products such as goods, pottery, handicrafts, clothing, utensils, sweets, and other tempting items of interest.

There are always food stalls showcasing the delicacies of the state, which satisfy the taste of every participant.
