Mubarak Mandi Palace is famous among tourists as the royal residence of the erstwhile Dogra kings. The palace is situated in the heart of the old walled city of Jammu and overlooks the river Tawi.
The pink hall of the castle is very famous among tourists, it houses the Dogra art museum with miniature paintings of the various Hill school of Kangra, Jammu, and Basholi.
It also has a gold-painted bow and arrow of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan.
The pink hall owes its name to the pink plastered walls of the palace section. A unique combination of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture seen in the palace. The place is declared a heritage site by the state government and proposed to be linked with a ropeway running up to the Bahu fort.
One must visit the palace.
