Durga Devi Zone is one of the best Safari zones in Jim Corbett National Park. It is a hilly zone full of wildlife beauty and adventure inside the Corbett National Park, which is located in the northeastern part of the park.
Visitors can take Jeep and elephant safari to enjoy wildlife through dense forestation and hilly terrain. The Ramganga river flows through this region and the Mandal river flows through the side, adding to the charm of this forest landscape.
The area is famous for elephant sightings, and fishing on the Domunda Bridge also attracts tourists. The popular Mahaseer fish also found in the river of Durga Devi Zone.
Apart from this, the lush green forests of this region also provide ample opportunities for bird watching. The zone is a paradise for bird-loving enthusiasts. You can spot barking deer, sambar, jackals, and the black-faced monkey.
The entry gate to the Durgadevi zone is situated 30 km away from Ramnagar. You can enjoy the day Jeep safari or the night stay in the forest rest house.
But for this, tourists have to obtain a permit to enter the park.
The Durga Devi Zone is open from 15th October to 15th June every year.
