Located in Perumalai hills, at a height of 2440 meters from sea level, the highest peak in Kodaikanal is Perumal Peak or Perumalmalai peak. The place is coming under the western ghats mountain range in Tamil Nadu. It is believed by the locals that nearly 1000 years ago the Peak was a volcano. The Peak is 18 Km away from Kodaikanal and is a favorite destination for Trekkers. Adventure lovers and nature lovers come here frequently due to its natural beauty. The starting point of the trek is at Neutral Saddle near Perumal Malai, a small village at the base of the Peak.
