The old shrine is located on the north side of Belur Math and was established on 14 January 1938.
There is a mango tree from which steps are leading to the old shrine.
There are two rooms upstairs when we enter the temple. It was established on 14 January 1938. The room on the left is the temple of Sri Ramakrishna. Until the construction of the main temple, the sacred relics of Sri Ramakrishna were kept in a vessel known as the Atma-Rama Tatoot and worshiped here.
Later his photo kept here, and his worship continued in this temple for about forty years. Mata, Swamiji, and some disciples of Sri Ramakrishna started worship here.
