Birla Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and goddess Radha. The stunning structure of Birla Mandir adorns the streets of Ballygunge, Kolkata. The anatomy of the temple shows a traditional style of architecture with modem reflections, and this temple is the perfect example of brilliant craftsmanship and engineering.
The construction of this temple began in the year 1970, and it reached its completion on 21st February 1996. There are some unique and beautiful patterns on the wall of the temple, which sculpted by the artisans called from Mirzapur, Agra, and Muzaffarpur.
Along with Krishna and Radha, other Gods like Lord Ganesha, Lord Hanuman, Lord Shiva, ten avatars of Lord Vishnu, and Goddess Durga also revered here.
The magnificent structure of Birla Temple includes towering domes covered with intricate stonework and designs that adorn the main facade of the temple. There are also some artifacts in the temple, made up of silver and Belgian glass, which adds a unique divinity to this temple.
The continuous chanting and soft music make the environment very serene and magical and add a spiritual charm to the place.
