The Nalban Boating Park is located near Saltlake Sector V. It is a famous amusement park in Kolkata. The complex is only 12 km away from Central Kolkata. It is easily accessible from any part of the city. The campus is a hidden gem in the city's great green space and leisure boating complex.
The shallow shores of the conservatory waters dotted with large boats are undoubtedly the multiplex top point of interest. It has three sections - Ecological zone, Theme Garden and recreational spaces. The Nalban Boating Complex consists of a lake and brooks, which are surrounded by plantations.
Boating is the star attraction, with variety of boating activities, including paddle boats, hunting, rowing boats, and hovercraft. Floating hoots are the ideal stop-over if you are looking for some rest after a long session of boating. Nalban Boating Complex is owned by State Fisheries Development Corporation (SFDC).
The first phase is named as the Nalban Boating Complex and was unveiled in the late 1990s, on 165.40 hectares, next to Nikko Park and on the banks of a Bheri. The second phase, Nalban Food Park, was opened in 2005 opposite the Sector V SDF building.
Nalban Food Park has all the fish restaurants preferred by many tourists in the city for obvious reasons.
It also has a bar, besides lawns and halls that host meetings and parties.
It is also a good spot for a picnic. People can enjoy the cool breeze of the lake while taking a blissful ride in the serene lake.
