Neveh Shalome Synagogue was established by Shalom Obadiah ha-Kohen in 1831. It is located in China Bazar, Kolkata.
It is just adjacent to the Megen David Synagogue and the oldest Synagogue of Kolkata.
It was restored in 2014, before that, it was demolished and reconstructed multiple times by the Jewish community and the government. It has an elegant interior and conducts regular prayers.
It is the first Jewish community house of devotion in India.
