The scenic Lakshmi Narayan Temple of Kurukshetra is an 18th-century temple built during the reign of the Chola dynasty and dedicated to Lord Sri Hari and Goddess Lakshmi. The height of this temple is 124 feet and hence, can be seen from many parts of the city. It is said that before the war of Mahabharata, the Pandavas installed an idol of Lord Lakshmi Narayan and worshiped here. This temple also has significant significance from Vastu Shastra, the first ray of the sun falls in the east gate of the temple and touches the feet of God, The priests believe that on offering yellow to God, people get success in every task, that is why thousands of devotees make yellow offerings on Tuesday and Thursday in this temple. This temple is considered to be of great importance, it is said that if the devotees go to this temple and make seven trips around the temple, then they do not need to go for the Char Dham.
