Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary

Situated at a height of 3048 to 4575 meters, Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary is famous for its colorful exquisite species of Rhododendrons.

Here Azaleas also blooms in their full capacity and colors and gives the area a view of riot of colors.

The Sanctuary give its picturesque look from the Yumthang Chhu meandering through this place.

During spring season 40 varieties of Rhododendron gives amazing view of the sanctuary. Other varieties bloom here are Gentias, Saxifrages, Aconites, potentillas etc.

Since the Sanctuary is very close to Tibetan Plateau, so winter is very long here, due to heavy snowfall during cold time, the beauty also increases 10 times. Flowers bloom during spring, so best time to visit is from April to July.
