Leh Palace

The nine-story palace (Leh Palace) of Raja Singe Gyal in Leh is a splendid specimen of traditional Tibetan architecture. Mounted one by one on a high mountain with a steep slope of huge boulders, and made by skilled craftsmen, they were cut into nine-storied buildings, which on seeing the rocks of the hill also appear to be part of it and it mentioning the life of Lord Buddha. Painting-adorned walls, the narrow curved corridors of this palace (Leh Palace) are joined by rooms that contain century-old covered paintings, golden statues, and swords. There are 12 temples and two Buddhist royal monasteries in this palace (Leh Palace). At the eastern entrance of the palace is a wooden lion statue. In the early days of the palace, it was tied with rope. A lion was placed in a cage that roared while entering and exiting the cage. The staircase built on the hill leads to a large courtyard called Thekchen where royal dances were performed. During the Dogra invasion, the Durbar Hall and the paintings were destroyed. This unique Leh Palace in Leh, which survived the brutal Bombardment of Joravar, is now only a museum or display. This is one of the top tourist places in Leh.
