Andharban (or Dark Forest) is a dense forest located in Lonavala near Pimpri in Maharashtra, at a distance of one and a half an hour journey from Lonavala. Andharban is an evergreen Sahyadri forest, covered in mist and dreamy forest landscape in the Tamhini Ghats. Andharban trek is an ideal monsoon destination for trekking, shaded for the most part, and its specialty is that it is a descending trail all the way. The foliage is abundantly thick with cascading waterfalls as well as still water ponds. You will enjoy mesmerizing views of Kundalika Valley and amazing species of flora and fauna.
