A religious place is dedicated to Goddess Narayani and located in Dhankawadi area of Lonavala, at a distance of 2 km from Lonavala Railway Station is Narayani Dham Temple. The temple was built in 2002 with beautiful white marble. The temple is one of the famous sightseeing places in Lonavala. The main idol of the temple is Ma Narayani, who is surrounded by other shrines dedicated to Ganapathi, Hanuman, and other Hindu deities. The deities are beautifully decorated with glittering pieces of jewelry. The entrance is a four-storeyed structure, there are aligning fountains on the pathway from entrance to temple for beautification. It is crowded at the time of Dadi Mangal and bhajans by many locals as well as tourists who seek spirituality. Here Ganesh Chaturthi, Janmashtami, and Diwali festivals are celebrated with much enthusiasm. The temple hall is sufficient enough to host more than 10,000 devotees at a time. Within the temple campus, there is a Goshala where visitors can feed the cows. The temple is opened from 6:30 AM to 1 PM and from 4 PM to 10 PM.
