The 1857 Memorial Museum is a reflection of India's participation in the freedom struggle. Visiting here in the museum shows how the residents of Lucknow had played an important role in the first war of independence during the days of slavery.
The museum is located in the annex of the Residency building and exhibits many items during the time of freedom movement. The museum houses a stuffed revolver, pottery, liquor bottles, documents, photographs, paintings, shields, lithographs, weapons, cannon shells, guns, cannon and badges, and other items, which have been kept here as a memorial.
All the objects in this museum are displayed in an orderly manner and the events of the freedom struggle are also well described. There are also many maps here that show the location of Lucknow and also the model of residency.
