Located in Gomtinagar Lucknow, a famous park made of pink stone, spread over 107 acres, look more beautiful in the light of the night is Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Park.
Giving respect to all the great men considered to be the God of Dalits, construction of this park was done by former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati in 2008.
If this park is called the pride of Lucknow, then it will not be wrong at all. In this park, like other parks, you can see many rocks and monuments rather than trees and plants.
Inside the park, one can see a high pillar which is made of a wheel similar to the Ashoka Chakra, and elephants around it. The pillar is built on a very tall and large platform.
There are two stupas, in the shape of a dome, inside the park. Both stupas are built at a height and are connected internally. A staircase also built to reach the stupa and some small stone elephant built along this path.
There is a garden in front of the stupa, in which two small stones placed in white marble shells. There is a huge way to go inside the stupa, the statues of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Kshatrapati Sahuji Maharajam, Jyotiba Phule, Kashiram, and Mayawati are built here.
Most of the statues are made of white stone and personal information also given to the statues.
When you reach the top of the stairs, there is a beautiful view of the entire park, as well as Subroto Roy's Sahara City.
Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated with great pomp here on 14 April every year in this park.
