The Kaiserbagh palace is the first historical creation in Lucknow. This Palace built by the last Nawab of Awadh, Wajid Ali Shah, and it was constructed between 1848-1850.
Wajid Ali Shah wanted to make a garden that would be as beautiful as paradise. This project was most significant for him. He wanted the Kaiserbagh Palace to be known as the eighth wonder of the world.
Some parts of the palace got damaged because of the attack by the British in 1858. The Kaiserbagh Palace is the most famous tourist attraction of Lucknow and a magnificent example of Mughal architecture.
The palace possesses splendid architectural brilliance with ionic columns, Moorish minarets, Hindu umbrellas, lanterns, railing, and pediments. But the main attraction of the Kaiserbagh Palace is a white stoned structure called Baradari.
It is situated at the center of the Kaiserbagh Palace. Kaiserbagh Palace shows a fusion of Mughal and European architecture as it has Mughal style pavilions and European style statues.
