UNESCO World Heritage site of Mahabalipuram, one of the oldest stone temples of South India, commissioned by the King Narsimhavarman II in the mid 7th century.

An ancient temple built during 700-728 AD . This temple is built by the huge blocks of Granite, during the Pallava Dynsaty. This is one of the classified UNESCO World Heritage site of Mahabalipuram, and one of the oldest stone temples of South India. This temple complex is an architectural creation commissioned by the King Narsimhavarman II in the mid 7th century, starting from the cave temples and more. The architecture of the shore temple was continued by the Cholas after defeating Pallavas who ruled in Tamil Nadu.
