How to reach- "By Rail : As a river island, Majuli is not connected by roadways to any major cities or towns, Jorhat is the nearest railhead to Majuli is at a distance of 20 km. From Jorhat, buses and taxis will transport tourists to Neemati Ghat, from where ferries are available for a ride to Majuli. By Road : Various ASTC buses and private buses run between Guwahati and other important cities of Assm to Jorhat on regular basis. After reaching Jorhat avail bus or taxi and reach Nimati Ghat and then reach Majuli by Ferry service. By Air : Nearest Jorhat Airport is 14 km away from Neemati Ghat, from where you will get regular ferry service to reach Majuli."
Majuli adorned with cultural heritage, Vihangam Island Majuli is a spiritual place. It is also the biggest attraction of Assam. Majuli is known for being the largest inhabitated riverine island in the world.

Kamalabari Satra is the most influential and prominent Satra of Majuli, while Oniyati Satra is famous for Palnam and Apsara dance.In other Satras, Benganati and Shamaguri Satra are also important.
