Zeilad Lake

The Lake is one of the famous lakes of Tamenglong, the district of Manipur has the highest number of lakes. This area has the largest water bodies. The only exception is Loktak lake in the Imphal district. Pythons, fish, turtles, and aquatic birds are found here. This is another reason that tourists come here to see Zeilad Lake. Many migratory birds come here every year. Recently it has been declared as one of the four wildlife sanctuaries in Manipur. There are six other lakes near Zilad, some of which are Nrou Jie, Guifop JE, and Nap-Sem JE.
