The city of Mumbai, which is called the economic capital of our country, has a large land area with a dense population, while there are also some small but extremely important parks which play an important role for the good health of the citizens. Maharashtra Nature Park is one of the few such parks. However, very few people know that this park, which is well known as a dense forest of 18,000 trees and home to many types of wildlife, was once a place to dump garbage in the city where hundreds of tons of garbage were dumped from the city every day. Situated on the Bustling Bandra-Seon Link Road, this dumping yard was closed by the administration in the year 1977.
