Folklore Museum is located in the beautiful Jayalakshmi Vilas Haveli. Folklore Museum, established in 1968 and houses around 6500 focal articles, puppets, South Indian toys, and household items. Apart from this, various elements of dance, drama, and music are kept in this museum for the exhibition. The gallery of the museum is divided into various parts, displaying large pits, folklore, literature, art, and focal life.The puddle section holds different sized puddles, which were used in the Talebhuta, Kaibhuta, Mari, Soma, and Gadi Mari dances. Focal life section, various tools of fishermen, potters, sailors, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, farmers, tanners, weapons, candles, kitchen utensils, farming equipment, matki, utensils, chanting, and baskets are also displayed in this museum. Apart from this, the museum exhibits Yakshagana, Kathakali costumes, Andhra folk dramatists, and a distinctive Hanuman crown. Come and visit this place with family and friends.
