If you have enough time while traveling to Mysore, then you must visit the Lalitha Mahal in the valley of Chamundi Hills. This palace was built by Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV in 1921, especially for the Viceroy of India. It was designed by Mumbai EW Fritchley. The construction of the English and Italian style, as well as the architecture of the Renaissance period, is seen. Presently this palace has been converted into a five-star hotel by the Department of Tourism, Government of India. Tourists are cared for fiercely in this grand hotel. Even though this palace has now been converted into a hotel, the original palace is still preserved. Even today, you can see the Viceroy's room, dancing hall, dining room, and stairs made of Italian marble. However, now the dancing hall and banquet hall are being used as dining and meeting rooms. In addition to the ancient paintings in the hotel, modern comforts are also kept for the guests. You can also enjoy a tea and cocktail party on the lawn here.
