Located in Panchvati area and 3 km away from central bus stand, Kalaram temple was built in 1782 by Sardar Rangrao Odhekar on the side of an old wooden temple.
The work of construction lasted for 12 years, and 200 persons was employed daily.
The boundary wall of the temple is 17 feet high and made of plain dressed stone.
It is one of the finest temples of Ramji in the western India. It has a large open Sabhamandap. The temple has standing idols of Ram, Laxman, and Sita of 2 feet height and made of black stones.
It is believed that Rama was staying here during his exile.
The Ramanavami festival is celebrated here with great vigor.
