This urban village or HKV as it is popularly known also houses an Islamic seminary, The etymology of the two words Hauz Khas in the Persian language means Hauz Tank and Khas means Royal meaning the Royal water tank pertaining to the water tank around which the whole structure is built.It also has its major attraction "the hauz khas fort" ,It's a perfect hangout place for college friends, and so for quick family outings. Like any other fort this fort mesmerizes the observer and he appreciates our history. Hauz Khas Fort established by Alauddin Khilji in the year 1284 to ensure continuous supply of water to Siri Fort.
